Reflection

Overall there were 11 foundation element briefly described in this framework: motivations, outcomes, background, stakeholders, resources, theme, narrative, trajectory, nodes, tools and public face.
Personally doing a design following a particular framework bring the organize sense of the process itself but also time consumed for this project in particular. It was useful by applying this kind of framework create an opportunity to extend the idea in extensive way. This is because in each stage inside the framework leads us to think and consider different perspective to deliver and make improvement of the he original idea. Therefore, after completing some stage inside the framework may result to different outcome. In addition to that each phase required a different skill and concern. It can be described as going from the inner side of thinking until to different way of idea visualization.
A first thing came into my mind after looking through from the first element to the last element of this framework was, do I need to follow this framework phase in a particular sequence? But when I tried to do in sequence, I only succeed to do completely a motivation section and the stakeholder section. As for this project it seems like impossible to apply efficiently for all the phase to survey for the initial design for this project. Firstly, this project was directed to academic purpose rather than commercial purpose. At the some point, especially on the stakeholders is like the huge thing to do for this short time project. It was suggested that the stakeholders may flexible according to purpose and the project size. However, combination of the motivation and stakeholders influenced the initial phase of the project design. It can be described as after completing these two sections the new idea will be generated. I also believe that brainstorm session may useful to determine what outcome after completing each element. It may decrease a misconception and increased the usability of the any kind of location-experience product. At some point, this framework can be described as a stage of requirement analysis for designing a location-experience based project.
One of the most joyful and also challenging parts for me personally when applying this framework is thinking about the motivations behind this project. I strongly agree with this motivation foundation aspect took the first aspect discussed in this framework. However, after going detail for the motivation it become confusing to discuss the outcome. I think this may make sense if this part discussed after the communication with the stakeholders or other related people or resources. The background foundation aspect can be used to get an overview plan of the project and also create opportunity to connect to a new stakeholder. The site foundation aspect has been taught thoroughly in this framework. This part make me thinking of doing a site visit task and building a location checklist form as a outcome for this phase. The resources foundation section has a close relationship with the site and background. It means the resources can be explained in detail after completing them.
Furthermore, when come to tools experience object, the documentation from the resources and site foundation might be useful to determine either to use an existing one or acquire a new or innovate it to run the designed experience. The theme, narrative, trajectory and nodes are logically in sequence in order to design the experience plan for the project. This 4 section was closed to the implementation phase and also likes to sum up all the output from the previous phase.
