..::..Summer Project Expectation..::.

At the first time I glance at this project description on the newsgroup, I just felt want to be part of the project. Even though I don't have totally no idea about what the project really about. At that time I don't really think about it because that's week was extremely so busy to finish up my video and studio I assesment task. And also to prepare for engineering programming exam.

But, after I realized my performance in programming course not very well and no way to pass the course, I take an action to discuss this matter with Stephen as a my program coordinator. He suggest me to take this course and also this course listed under the Part C of my programme. My degree requirement required at least 6 units from Part C. So, as I expected I failed the programming course and I was keen to graduate next year, then taking this course was the best option at this time.

As a student's I do really need a credit for this course. Pass the course seems look compulsory to me. However, there was not only my purpose. I also want to learn about what is the "Location- Experience" really concern of. In addition, I think that this ubiquitous computing field was a new things to me. So, I do really want to get to know the subject inside this field.

Furthermore, I already enrolled for doing a master thesis at the final semester. In addition to that, I really hope that I get the picture about doing project in UQ. By experiencing this summer project development process, might help me to plan or to get an idea relates to my future thesis.

Also, this summer project could help me handling stress doing a groupwork. Besides, give me more opportunity to adapt on the study culture , research experience and communication skills. But the most important thing is this summer project can create attention to me to focus more deeply because I just took this course for this summer. In short, I make used my summer holiday to experience the knowledge that's make me happy.

I am planning to use this blog to express things relates to the project and also summary of the weekly meeting of the project. Just to make sure I was on the right track especially I sometimes lost in the meeting. The wiki page will be used as a whiteboard to describe and sketch my idea to this project.

Summer on second week now..:)

Puzzles

So I've been looking into the type of puzzles/scenarios we could go into and I was wondering what everyone thinks about competitions and competitive puzzles? Good idea? Bad idea? I'm not really sure the impact making things more competitive would have but I'm concerned that it might detract from the experience for some people. On the other side, it would potentially make the outcomes of the puzzle more interesting. Thoughts?
